Abgooshte Kashk ( Lamb and Whey Stew )

Abgoosht is a delicious stew that is very popular in Iran especially in the cold weather but this abgoosht is one of a traditional and local cuisine in Arak – an old city of Iran.
The main ingredients are lamb, beetroot, kashk(whey – can be found in Persian grocery stores), mint, bean. It tastes savoury and is served with bread, shallot and pickle.

Ghalieh Mahi ( Herb and Fish Stew )

This is a Southern Iranian spicy fish and herb stew. The main ingredients are fenugreek, coriander and fish. You can also make this dish with shrimp insteed of fish. Traditionally, this stew is made with fish from the south of Iran such as Sangsar, Shoorideh, Hamoor but you can make it with any white fish like Estrogen, Seer or Snapper.
This dish tastes sour because of tamarind sauce that uses to cook this dish.
